2B NEWSLETTER MAY 21 TO MAY 25
May is almost over! Congratulations to our third group of children who made their First
Communions last week. Our last two groups will make their First Communions on June 2.
The Second Grade will be leading the school Mass on June 8. At that time, our school family will join in our celebration. The children are to come to school in their First Communion outfits and they are to bring their school uniforms with them to change into after Mass. Due to limited seating in the church, we ask that only parents (or a parent substitute) attend the Mass and reception. There will be a short reception for the First Communicants and their parents after Mass. Please note that this is not a reception for siblings that attend OLA. There will be photographer available at the reception. Order forms are in this week’s HW folders.
The Second Grade will also lead the 9:00 Mass on June 10. I need to know who will be attending that Mass in order to assign readings. If you are planning on attending that Mass, please let me know as soon as
possible. Please fill out and return the form enclosed in the HW folder by May 25. Father Charles wants the
children to attend in the First Communion outfits. It is a lovely way to share our joy at becoming full members of the church with our parish family.
I will not be here Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday this week. My son will be graduating from Damien High School!
Sports-a-Rama is Friday, May 25. It is a great day to volunteer and earn service hours for next year! If you have not turned in your order form for Subway, please do so as soon as possible.
Our treasure box is very low on items! Remember that every $20 earns you one service hour! You can get a head start for next year’s service hours requirement!
